Christmas Wishes

The Christmas tree is up and decorated, and there is a wreath on the front door crafted from incense cedar, pine cones and ribbon. Small Christmas gifts have been wrapped and are under the tree, waiting to be opened in a few hours. There is a lovely free range turkey ready for roasting, and the larder is full of all sorts of good things to go with said turkey at dinner this afternoon.

For the little blue house and its rather eccentric residents, Christmas is something simple but very wonderful - a time of community and sharing rather than the exchange of wildly expensive retail items. All are welcome here on this day, and the best gift of all is a friend at the door. We gather at the big oak table for a festive (but very healthy) meal, then curl up near the fireplace later for tea and stories.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a happy holiday, wishing you the companionship of your own clan on this day, a bright and warming hearth around which you may gather. . . .

Thank you for a glimpse of your hearth and for your companionship. Your photos and your words are inspiring. I wish I could really knock at the door of your little blue house and curl up for one of your stories.
Wishing you deep joy,
