Rain and Christmas Lights

After weeks of classic early winter weather, temperatures have risen, and our city streets are grey again. The first snows have melted away, and there are puddles and frosty grasses everywhere I walk. The Christmas lights which adorn trees, verandas, windows and balconies all over the city are reflecting cheerfully off puddles rather than snowdrifts, and there is not icicle to be seen anywhere.

How strange it is to be hearing Christmas carols in such a setting...

one photo after another .brings me to your place of heart, spirit and soul. It seems as if your eyes and mine have merged to see what is so simple and so pure. is that not what wildness is??? to understand that which is right before our eyes .to cut thru the fogs or our brains........and to understand the simplicity of it all....i thank you so deeply for my walk in this late hour thru your beautiful woods........aisling
