Winter Fields

Blue skies, fresh snow, an old cedar rail fence, spruce trees and a hawthorn tree or two - common features of farm fields in the Lanark Highlands, and one sees them everywhere, but no two specimens are alike and each has beauty of its very own, particularly in winter.

I have walked these fields times without number, and every single walk yields something new, something wonderful which has always been there.
