Thanks for the holiday wishes. It is indeed a festive season. My husband leaves tomorrow to go to Turkey where his family will celebrate a big holy day. I'm trying to figure out which city you are visiting. Ottowa? Anyway, lovely photos.
Potato Print, yes indeed this is the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa, which is actually a downtown hotel near the Colonel By canal rather than a rsidential castle, and it is something of a Canadian icon. Its quarried stone walls and magnificent copper roof are visible from many parts of the city, and I always enjoy seeing it when I am in the heart of the city and yes, I always feed the ducks when I am there.
