This is a most unusual picture. I can't determine if the black things are shadows or sticks. It makes me feel I have come upon something that is not for everyone to behold.
It's actually two photos, each taken in the same valley on our place in the highlands, but from opposite slopes and glued together digitally afterward.
I couldn't decide which photo I liked best on that fine foggy and rather spooky morning so I decided to use them both and tinker a bit. The sticks are actually posts in an old fence which meanders across one slope.

Very spooky but very peaceful at the same time.
The fog is so mysterious - yet it does bring a peace and at times a sense of security. Your photo is certainally a "keeper"
