It's an activity in which we indulge on the weekend of the Autumn Equinox every year (barring rain and snow). We hang over the topmost rail of an old fence in the Lanark Highlands and converse with the flock of gentle Border Leicester ewes who dwell in the paddock on the other side.
There is something timeless and soothing about the activity, and it brings us back to where we should be now, mindful of our covenants with the earth and her wild things, thankful for sunlight and red leaves and flights of birds overhead, for autumn stars at night, for this harvest and season of abundance.

I dearly love sheep, and BLs are such a nice breed.
Oh dear me, I love the sheeps, love them!!!! They are too sweet and adorable. Somehow they seem spiritual, sending us a message of peace, peace, be still, breath, close your eyes and travel the hillsides with me. Join me in nibbling the greass. In addition, I think they are stately, like the members of parliment. Love, Sandi
Oh, oh, oh! I love sheep! These pictures made me smile.

I want one or two or three! They are so precious. I had never seen sheep face to face until 4 years ago. I fell in love!
These sheep make me want to spin again!
