Breathtaking - we went out to Stokes Forest and Bashakill Marsh yesterday and found them in bloom.
These are some of my favorite flowers and your photos are sublime

I couldn't imagine how I'd missed seeing this on one of my walks, but apparently it's only found in the Eastern Part of United States and Canada.

Almost reason enough to finally visit there.

It's a truly beautiful flower.

kudos to you! I find the trout lily to be one of the hardest spring flowers to photograph. This is because it blooms at the time of year when there is almost constant wind and it loves to "bow and bounce" in the wind.
