Thursday Poem - November Twilight

winter at twilight
rustling draperies are drawn
against the shadows

fireplaces all alight
their fragrant smoke going
straight up and away

in every doorway
icy drafts craving entrance
iron cold without

by themselves
yellow street lamps turning on
one by glowing one
