Swallowtails are some of my most favourite of the butterflies of spring. Once they arrive, one can be sure that winter is past and summer is on its way. I also love them because, unlike the whites and sulphurs that never seem to sit still, I can actually get passable photographs of swallowtails (especially on lilacs, which they seem to like more than other flowers). So beautiful! I have just started to see the swallowtails here too.
We are getting those but now a bunch of the little blue butterflies that never are still long enough to photograph.
