Alas, they are this year's leaves. The old maple is turning now, and her early gold is a result of high heat during the day, scant rainfall and cool nights. Her colors are lovely though - she is always a joy to look upon, especially with blue sky behind her

Please tell me that this photograph is from last year and the maples have not started to change to this golden color.
