Tabor, if I ever win a lottery, I am going to purchase a wooden Cape Islander (it's rather like a Maine lobster craft), restore it and moor it on Dalhousie Lake. There is nothing like a good wooden boat.
One of the loveliest things I did recently was to canoe the Kentucky river by moonlight on my birthday. The serenity was wonderful, the quiet sound of the oar as it navigated the water, and the clear night sky overhead is a memory that will never leave me.

What a beautiful boat. My husband would be drooling at all that perfection.

Oh, what a beauty. The perfect combinations of wood, water, air and the forged metal. This is sensual.
Clarity.
I love the wooden boat!
Hi Cate
What a lovely photo. This is just what I need for the cabin.
