Wooden Ships and Flowers

It will be quiet here for a few days as I am down "for the count" with a virus that has morphed into pneumonia - this is nothing new for me, and it is an all-too-usual state of affairs at this time of the year when temperatures are swinging back and forth like a pendulum.

Here are my favorite quilt and comforter, a stack of pillows in antique Irish linen cases (I collect them), heaps of books and oceans of tea, an old pitcher with a handful of fragrant grape hyacinth blooms (muscari) tucked into it.  These are the order of the day, and seen from the wooden ship on which I sail, they convey a gentle comfort.

Hope you feel better soon. Your presence on this web is a beacon of light. That picture of the hyacinths and blue/white pitcher would make a nice card...

Blessed Be
