Have you read Jean Houston's book: Mystical Dogs: Animals as Guides to our Inner Life? I just read a blog post about it and it sounds fascinating... Almost makes me want to get a dog! :) Yours is such a wonderful companion to you I'm sure.
Mystic, I've read Jean's book and plan to read it again this winter. Our little guy is indeed a splendid companion, a wise one and with a rather puckish sense of humor.
