No it's a dmall aster. We call them Bettagsblüemli, meaning that (usually, but that's not the case) they flower around Thanksgiving in Switzerland (which is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday in September).

A place where our world still seems to be functional and largely untouched.

The blooms are Michaelmas daisies, and they are also called New England asters. They bloom around the time of the Equinox, and I absolutely adore their colors. The ones in my garden are full of bumbles and bees.

Dear one, a present came my way ... I was searching for an image of Michaelmas daisies and happened upon a photo you used in 2006. And this made me find your page, such a pleasant surprise! Blessings to you ...
The reason I was looking for a photo was because a raindrop highlighted by a sleepy autumn sun was inspiration for an haiku ;-)
